Thrive Together

The purpose of Thrive Together Shelby County is to not only address multidimensional poverty, but to accelerate opportunities for women and their families. In fact, Thrive Together has the mission of "Forging pathways to family prosperity by working with single women with young children in Shelby County to develop and implement a tailored Family Prosperity Pathway."

  • Single mother to at least one child under the age of 12 (or under the age of 18 with a disability)
  • Unemployed or underemployed and willing to participate in job training activities 
  • Low-income family; At 200% or below the poverty level
  • Require support in at least two key areas

Teen Parenting Classes

STEP classes consist of pregnant or parenting teens  (ages 12-19) who meets on a weekly basis at Shelby County Schools and the classes are designed to directly impact the physical and emotional well being of teen parents.  Lessons include prenatal and parenting topics.
