Social Services

Request Assistance

Social services were provided to 2,508 individuals in 2022. 


SEA's social services are provided by licensed social workers who:

  • Complete assessments;
  • Develop service plans; and 
  • Provide assistance to stabilize the crisis situation. 


Our social workers are knowledgeable of local resources and often collaborate with other agencies to better serve individuals and families in our community. 

Food Assistance was provided to 1,471 individuals in 2022.

SEA is able to meet client food needs in by:

  • Utilizing the Community Food Bank of Central Alabama. 
  • Accepting food donations from churches, businesses, schools, and individuals. 
  • Working with local farmers markets and the University of Montevallo Organic Garden for fresh produce during the summer months

Services include:

  • Housing assistance provided for 326 individuals
  • Utility assistance for 873 individuals
  • Dental assistance to 125 individuals
  • Doctor and prescription assistance to 77 individuals
  • Transportation to 22 individuals
